FMARS

FMARS is situated in an meteor inpact crater, that due to its location on Earth has hardly any vegetation.
This was the first of the Mars Analogue Research Stations, planted at the Haughton Impact crater in the Canadian Arctic in 2000.
The sites was scouted in the summer of 1999 by a group of dedicated Martians like Chris McKay (NASA AMES), Pascal Lee (NASA AMES), and Robert Zubrin (The Mars Society).

MDRS

MDRS is situated on a now dry seabed.

EuroMARS

MarsOZ is projected in the Flinders Ranges of the middle of Australia.

MarsOz

EuroMARS is expected to be placed on a young lava flow.
